Taking inspiration from the hive concept, I decided to play around with a somewhat deformed hive pattern on the site. I like the assortment of larger and smaller hexagons... I think they make quite an interesting floor plate design.
I then followed through with this even further; allocating the larger hexagons as possible locations for distributed pavilions (coloured in yellow/orange... which hasn't shown up too well), creating a path flowing through the mall. The left over spaces (coloured in grey) could be used as open areas... This is just a random scribble / conceptual idea for now... but I quite like where this is heading.
