EXEMPLARS (CONTINUED)

I decided a few weeks ago that I would definitely implement the 'hive' concept my group and I came up with in the first assignment. Due to this, and the way my pavilion research started to head towards some geometric designs, I've done some exemplar research into design inspired by the idea of 'the hive'.

Surface Deep Garden / asensio_mah

Inspirational Aspects: Although this is just a simple garden wall, I think it is amazing! The detail and way it folds into itself is beautiful. I like the layering of the structural material and the green elements inside.

ZA11 Pavilion / Dimitrie Stefanescu, Patrick Bedarf, Bogdan Hambasan

Hexigloo Pavilion / Tudor Cosmatu, Irina Bogdan, Andrei Raducanu

Inspirational Aspects: An interactive hive!

Inspirational Aspects: An interesting and beautiful use of hive as ornamentation, integrated with spaces. Amazing.

Inspirational Aspects: Although this is just a side table, I can really see this being implemented as some crazy kind of pavilion.

Inspirational Aspects: Awesome bookcase design!

Inspirational Aspects: An example of the structure within the hive... the shapes are beautiful.

Inspirational Aspects: The roof plate and interior even incorporates this concept!

Inspirational Aspects: This design always inspires me. The stepping up nature of open spaces, and the design of the area around the site... amazing!
